Camp visiting day is here!

Camp visiting day is here… YAY!  Below find some of our DO’s and DON’T to ensure you have the best day, or two, with your kiddies:

  • DO – Arrive on time
  • DO – Look up directions to camp ahead of time to have an idea of where you are going – especially if it’s your first time visiting.
  • DO – Limit how much candy you bring!  We know their lists are long, and perhaps endless, but don’t forget that come Sunday, that goes in the trash.  Or in a counselors’ stomach.
  • DON’T – Bring pets if it’s against the camp policy.
  • DO – Follow the camp’s policy on bunk gifts.  Some are stricter than others.
  • DON’T – Embarrass your kids (too much!) – “You’re so embarrassing Dad!” – said every 10 year old daughter.
  • DON’T – Sit on your phone answering work emails.  This is a family day.
  • DO – Restock your kids stationary, cards, stamps and pre-made labels collection. They owe you some letters after all!
  • DON’T – Overstay your welcome.
  • DO – Participate in activities that the camp has arranged for the day.
  • DON’T – Take your kids off grounds, if the policy is to stay at camp.
  • DO – Post cute pictures of the day!  Hashtag #lovemykidssomuch.
  • DON’T – Overpost, we know you love them, but it’s all over our feeds.
  • DO – Begin the countdown for them to come home…
